Travertine Wall Clock | Mileni

Sale price£179.90

The face is a circular slab cut from natural travertine stone. The tones range from pale beige to taupe, crossed with irregular veining and open pores characteristic of this sedimentary limestone. No two are uniform: each slab carries its own distribution of tones. This is what visually sets a travertine wall clock apart from a painted or printed face.

The wooden hands contrast with the stone's matte surface. The markers are limited to four points at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock. A ring of peripheral LED backlighting runs around the face, casting a glow onto the wall. The colour temperature can be set to 2700K, 5500K, or both together, depending on the mood you want.

Hung on a light wall, the Mileni creates a subtle sense of depth. The LED light traces the outline of the stone without overwhelming the wall. The time stays easy to read even in dim light, thanks to the contrast of the gold hands. The quartz movement runs quietly, with no noticeable ticking.

The Mileni is available in two diameters: 23 cm and 30 cm. The 23 cm size suits a hallway, bathroom or office, anywhere wall space is limited. It can also sit above a shelf or worktop without dominating the wall.

The 30 cm size suits a living room or entrance hall better. At this size, the LED glow becomes more prominent on the wall and the texture of the stone stays legible from a greater distance. The choice between the two sizes depends mainly on the available wall space and the usual viewing distance.

To refine your choice by format or style, our Modern Wall Clocks and Small Wall Clocks collections bring together other references in natural materials and various sizes.

What is travertine stone?

Travertine is a sedimentary limestone rock formed by the precipitation of calcium carbonate around hydrothermal springs. Its structure is porous, with natural cavities and veining that vary from one slab to the next. The dominant tones are beige, cream and taupe, sometimes tinged with ochre or grey depending on the quarry. Used in architecture since antiquity, it now features widely in contemporary, mineral-led interiors.

Does travertine age well?

Like any natural limestone, travertine develops a patina over time. This patina gradually deepens the stone's natural contrasts without damaging it. Wiping with a lightly damp sponge is all the maintenance it needs. The travertine wall clock doesn't fade under artificial light, including the LED backlighting built into the face.

The Mileni suits mineral-led interiors: polished concrete, plaster, large-format tiles. It also works well in spaces that combine wood and stone, where the brass hands echo golden accents in the furniture. In an entirely neutral interior, the LED glow creates a focal point without introducing colour. The stone speaks for itself.
