A vintage number plate wall clock that holds nothing back

The first thing that jumps out is the background. Printed pale wood planks, complete with grain and knots, give the impression that the dial has been mounted on a reclaimed old pallet. And around the centre, twelve different number plate fragments, some rusted at the edges, others still bright, in typefaces that have nothing in common with one another.
